RF and Microwave Circuit Design Workshop with Industry Tools

As part of IEEE SAMPARK 2026, IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S) Student Branch Chapter PDEU conducted a live industry-oriented workshop on RF and Microwave Circuit Design using professional industry tools on 18th January 2026 at PDEU. The session was led by Mr. Alok Kumar Singhal, Head, SATCOM & Navigation Antenna Division, SAC ISRO Ahmedabad, who brought valuable industry insights into real-world RF and high-frequency circuit design. The workshop focused on bridging theoretical electromagnetics with practical RF engineering workflows. Participants were introduced to the end-to-end RF & Microwave circuit design process, including simulation methodologies, validation practices, and common industry challenges faced in high-frequency systems. Key highlights included: - Introduction to RF and Microwave circuit design workflow - Emphasis on industry-relevant design methodologies - Practical exposure to professional RF simulation tools - Understanding real-world RF design constraints and validation techniques - Direct interaction with an experienced industry expert The session enabled students to strengthen their fundamentals in RF engineering, gain exposure to industrial practices, and better understand career pathways in communication systems, satellite technology, and high-frequency electronics. The workshop witnessed strong participation from undergraduate and postgraduate students across Electronics and related disciplines, making it one of the key technical highlights of SAMPARK 2026.
